The Tiger Hills Arts Association Inc. was formally begun through the signing of a charter on February 10, 1978 with a view to provide a variety of programs geared to meet the cultural needs of the area residents of the surrounding communities with an office located in Holland.

Past Executive Director's include Bev De' Athe, Karen Oliver, Susan Dickens, Lois Robertson, Rosalie Sigurdson and Denise Walleyn.

Programming expanded over the years.  Concerts, classes and exhibitions have been and continue to be the focus of  THAA.  Throughout the years there have been numerous concerts with big name artists.  Some of the memorable concert artists include the likes of Moe Kauffman, Haygood Hardy, Shirley Eikhard, Connie Kaldor, Primadonna, the Vancouver Chamber Choir, the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Yugoslavia's Frulica Dance Troupe, the Rankin Family, George Fox, Patricia Conroy, Jason McCoy and the list grows!

The pillars of this thriving arts community lie in the wealth of its dedicated volunteers which serve as board members, committee members, assistants at multiple community functions and fundraisers and the many people, service clubs and businesses that make annual donations providing on going support of the arts!

In 2006 after a successful fund raising campaign, the Tiger Hills Arts Association purchased the beautiful historic building on Broadway St. in Holland.  The former Union Bank Building built in 1903 had been restored to its former beauty by Mr. Thomas J. Burnett.  With a very generous donation by Mr. Raymond McFeetors, President and CEO of Great West Life Assurance Co. and Mrs. Lynn Anne McFeetors, matched by an equally generous donation by Great West Life Assurance Co. secured for us the ability to pay for the building.  The building is now known as The McFeetors Centre and is the proud home of Tiger Hills Art Gallery and Tiger Hills Arts Association.

About Us

Our Organization

Tiger Hills Arts Association Inc. is guided by a Board composed of directors and representatives from different sub groups and communities within the Association boundaries. The wide range of interests exhibited by this Board, elected from various communities in the Tiger Hills area, provides the scope to meet the cultural needs of Tiger Hills area residents.

Although we depend heavily on volunteer work in the operation of our programs, we do employ a full time Executive Director,  an Administrative Assistant and whenever possible one summer student.
